Love Stories of Hawaii

Long Distance Love

Why I wait
Dedicated to Kenny lantgen

Submitted by Chelsea

I met my husband when I was only 16 years old. From the moment I met him I knew that he was the one for me. Our love has been a series of hellos and goodbyes, but no matter how many times he has left, it never gets easier to say good bye to him. He has been in the army and whether its boot camp or war, I still fear for his safety and I want more then anything to be able to see him again. The last time I saw him we just had our 2nd baby and he left when she was a week old and hasnt seen her since. I would say out of the 4 years we have been together he has only been home for 13 months. However through it all I still love him as I did in the beginning. SO I thought I would tell you just one of the amazing memories I have from when were physically together... we were at a dance and this was before we really made it known that we were dating. A slow song came on and we begain to dance we stared in each others eyes and he kissed me on my cheek and before I knew what I was saying I said to him very softly " you know you can kiss me for real" and he did and I never felt that way when some one kissed me it was like I found my missing half. And i knew from that point on that we would make it through anything, I didnt know at the time that meant deployments, and me having to be pregnant with a small child by my self, but when I look at it know its all worth it for the few wonderful and happy moments i get to share with him... We never had a honemoon because we had a quick wedding befor he went to boot camp so I beleive in my heart that some day we will get the trip to Hawaii we want, maybe because of you but if not I am glad to tell our love story.
