Two Loves, Both Now and Forever
Dedicated to Mary Ann and Natalie
Submitted by Anonymous
Mary Ann and I have been married 21 years now. Like most relationships, we've had a few ups and downs, but the downs have been minor, and we just seem to get better and better for each other as the years go by. To this day, I can look into her pretty green eyes and my heart fills with love and the desire to be with her the rest of my life.
About eight years ago, an angel brought another lady into my life and a second relationship began that I expect may just last the rest of my life also. I had no clue before that moment that I could love anyone as much as I loved Natalie. Even now, when I look into her pretty brown eyes, my heart swells and I want to care for her and make her happy.
As fate would have it, I was able to arrange a getaway to the Hawaiian Islands this year and, believe it or not, all three of us spent two wonderful weeks experiencing Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. Not unexpectedly, there were a few moments of tension about decisions on things to do and places to go, but, overall, our time there went remarkably well. We became enchanted with the Polynesian culture, balmy sea breezes, warm blue waters, and magnificent views. I can't imagine a finer place on earth to enjoy the company of two lovely ladies. We all agreed we want to go back again.
In case you're wondering how this could possibly have worked out so well, I need to explain that the "Angel" was a young lady of that very name, and she did not bring Natalie just to me but also to Mary Ann in a selfless act of love and caring that gave both of us a brown-eyed baby girl to adopt and raise as our own. And eight years later, well, she's still my baby girl and I guess always will be.
So, I've got two girls in my life and couldn't be happier. And we're looking forward to another trip to Hawaii someday . . . Can you make that sometime soon, perhaps?
