Second Chance Love

Love of a lifetime
Dedicated to My # 1 Honey, John

Submitted by Anonymous

Love was the last thing on my mind, being a single Mother of 2 small children. Working long hours, on my feet as a waitress to try to make ends meet, was my only focus at the time. I had been through a very rough period in my life, and felt hopeless. To be completely honest, I had formed a very negative opinion of men, and had decided that I would be alone for the rest of my life. And then there was John.I met John through a mutual friend. One look at him, and I thought to myself "No Way!" He was completely opposite of what I found attractive in a man.Although I wasnt attracted to him, at first, he was determined to get me to go out with him.He called me, and I fianlly answered, and we talked. I agreed to go out to dinner and a movie. Everything was great. There was a fire there that only TRUE LOVE sparks.Needless to say, we are still on that date. He has been such a blessing to me and my children. He absolutely adores my children, and that is likewise. The thing that most amazes me, is the fact that we have so many common interests. One being that we want to travel. See the beauties of the world. Once we were "together," he would joke around and and say "We are going to marry on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii!" I would roll my eyes, and tell him to quit being silly. Then the day came when he got down on one knee, and asked me and the kids to marry him.I think time stopped in that one instance. I was truly blessed to find True Love. The sky is the limit, and we plan to fulfill all of our dreams together, starting with a marriage in Hawaii.
