Love Stories of Hawaii

Timeless Love

Better late than never...
Dedicated to My childhood friend

Submitted by Anonymous

Many years ago, I attended a family picnic with a girlfriend. We left the picnic and walked into the local community. We were chatting, as teenage girls do. We passed two young men standing outside a home. When we got to the end of the street, I insisted that we turn around. At first, my girlfriend didn't understand why. But, we went back and the young men walked out to introduce themselves. We made arrangements to meet them later that evening at a local festival.

I dated that young man for almost two years. But we came from different faiths and that was a problem for both of us. We eventually went our seperate ways.

Twenty years later, my phone rang on a Thursday morning. When I answered, it was my long-lost love. I was shocked speechless. We were both single again and had often thought of each other. We met, and the rest is history.

Twenty plus years later, we finally celebrated our marriage with a honeymoon in Hawaii. Things have been absolutely wonderful.
