Love Stories of Hawaii

Second Chance Love

My Second Chance at Happiness
Dedicated to Chuck

Submitted by Esther

My husband was doing the siding of the house where I used to live. The first time I saw him, I thought he was the cutest thing I had seen in a long time. I flirted with him and talked to him each morning when he came over before I went to work. He always used to wear such baggy jeans. When he bent over one day. I pinched his butt to see if he really had one. I never would do something like that. When he got up to the second floor where i lived, he was on the ladder doing the siding. I squirted my perfume out the window so he would think of me. The next day, he said he thought of me all day. He was only there for a few weeks so I had to move quick. The last day he was due to leave, I gave him my business card and ran to my car. He called that nite. We set up our first date. He came over the next day . He brought a pizza and movies. I knew I loved him from the first time I saw him but didn't tell him. He didn't want a relationship. We dated slowly. Then he told me he didnt want to see me anymore. I sent him a card saying what a jerk he was. He was missing out a good thing. If that is what he wanted, have a good life. He called me the following week. We started dating again. He told me was afraid of getting serious. He moved in with me. He bought me a ring a few months later. A year later, we got married. This February, we are celebrating our 2nd Anniversary. I am so glad I sent him that card or we would never had been. We would love to go to Hawaii one day. It is so beautiful. You have to take chances in love.
