Second Chance Love

Our Love Story
Dedicated to Ed

Submitted by Christy

Our love story begins in December 2003. I had been a member of match.com for some time and had very little success. Due to a friend and her persistance I agreed to continue my membership through the end of 2003. On December 1st I received an e-mail that was different than any other I had received before. It was a wonderful e-mail, the writer had obviously read my profile because he mentioned several similaries that we had. It was a much longer e-mail than I was used to, it was at least 3 papagraphs in length. At the end of every e-mail you read from match.com, you have the opportunity to click onto a link that will take you directly to the writers profile etc.. Well here's where this e-mail was different, there wasn't a link at the bottom of the e-mail. The writer subscribed to match.com but had never posted a profile. My normal response is to throw up a red flag, there must be something wrong, no picture, no profile, then I don't continue. But not in this case, I decided what the heck, let's see what happens, he seems so nice and he wrote such a wonderful e-mail. I decided to respond and to ask for a picture and some to ask some additional questions. Another e-mail arrived a few days later, I was scared to open it and I remember telling myself not to be too disappointed. When I saw his picture I knew I immediately liked him. We continued to communicated via e-mail for a week then onto communication over the phone. Eventually we met and one year to the day I first received my e-mail we were engaged. Our dream honeymoon has always been to see Hawaii. We both think Hawaii has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth plus it is full of such history. It would be the greatest gift if we could go to Hawaii.
