Love Stories of Hawaii

Second Chance Love

Hawaii is my destiny
Dedicated to Children's dreams

Submitted by Anonymous

My love of Hawaii started when I was a child. I was enthralled with the colors and the beauty of Hawaii, but the best thing was that brown skin is beautiful and admired espcially in Hawaii. I didn't have to be ashamed of my color if I was in Hawaii was what I told myself as a little kid.

I grew up and my dream of going to Hawaii just a dream. I never thought that the man I would marry would be the key to my dream.

A chance meeting at a college counselor's office was to change our lives forever. Our paths had crossed in high school, in college our paths connected and in a car crash, that he should have died in, our paths intertwined. After his accident I had to go see him. In pain, with only one hand he could move, he held my hand and told me he had always loved me, since high school and that he would always love me. Our first kiss was magic and I walked on clouds for days.

We got married and soon after he made my dream come true, I went to Hawaii-to meet his Tutu and to visit all the places he had told me about that he had visited every summer in Hawaii, as a child.

His love of Hawaii all the more real.

My first trip to Hawaii was to celebrate Tutu's 90th birthday, my second trip to celebrate her 95th birthday. My 3rd trip was for my 10 wedding anniversary. My fourth trip was to celebrate my husband's fourtieth birthday, to go to his cousin's wedding and to say good-bye to our Tutu. In marriage there is always happy and sad, we shared in the sorrow of crying at his Tutu's grave. The closeness we shared at that moment was predestined. Forever.
