Love Stories of Hawaii

Timeless Love

Forever Hawaii
Dedicated to Mom and Dad

Submitted by Marilyn

My parents loved Hawaii, so my parents and I planned a trip to Hawaii together some years ago. Since I was working and they were retired, they traveled over early and I was to meed them there a few days later. The day I was to leave, United Airlines went on strike, grounding all of its planes. It was impossible for me to get there before they were to return. In fact, they even had to stay a few more days themselves. I felt so badly about not being able to go but there was nothing I could do.

Later they told me that while they really missed me, they had a wonderful time! They acted like kids, sticking their toes in the water, taking buses all over the island, having romantic dinners, and holding hands the whole time. They were 80!

Three months later my Father passed away. My Mother not only always had his love, but now had the beautiful memories of their last romantic adventure.

Today, I am so thankful that I couldn't join them. It was the way it was meant to be.
