He Lua Manawa na Aloha
Dedicated to John -Ko'u 'Uhane Hoa!
Submitted by Aimee
It was December 01, 1988 when John asked me to be his girl. From that day we were in love. High school sweethearts, they called us. We went out every weekend like teenagers did and grew closer and closer and more in love. In November 1989 I got pregenant, so we got married on February 2, 1990 and had our daughter on August 19, 1990.
As the years went by we had our ups and downs. We separated and reconciled every so many years. It finally ended up that we separated for good and then divorced in October 1998.
We realized after trying to date other people that no one was good enough for each other except each other. We talked over dinner one night in February 1999 and agreed to date each other and go from there.
John moved back in, we fell in love with each other all over again. Our relationship grew better and stronger every day. We laughed and cried and romanced each other, and it felt wonderful. We remarried on November 27, 1999.
Had a beautiful church wedding and our 9 year old daughter was the flower girl. She was happy that her parents were getting married again. She even prayed that this day would come, and so did I.
It is March 08, 2004 we have been married now a total of 14 years combined, and are more in love everyday.
We are planning a 2 week trip to Hawaii for our 15th Wedding anniversary. If we are not already living there (we are thinking about moving to Hawaii).
We have found He Lua Manawa na Aloha (A second chance for love) and that doesn't happen often. We are truely blessed. We are 'Uhane Hoa! (soulmates!)
