Timeless Love

The Spirit of Aloha Re-Awakened
Dedicated to The spirit of Aloha

Submitted by Judi

I opened my window and lay my head down on my pillow, I feel as if I am drowing in my own tears.

Who can I turn to? Who can I trust and where can I run and hide? I lay broken in spirit with no passion for loving or living.

I close my eyes and drift in and out of sleep, like the gentle ebb and flow of the tide. I drift in time and space and, in that etherial moment, I hear your calling to me. I feel you beckoning me to come to you. The warmth of your aloha begins to thaw my heart and love flows in and warms me.

In my ear I hear you whisper "Slow down. Please slow down and listen to the symphony of the trades dancing across the canopies of the palms. Let the healing waterfalls wash away the chards of a shattered heart and restore your soul with the perfume of plumeria on the winds.

I knew you long ago. I knew you long ago as I sailed to you across vast blue waters. I knew you long ago, listening to the chants and feeling the rustle of ti leaves against my legs.

I knew you long ago and I know you now. I know the depth of your passion in your green valleys. I know the diamonds, in the sky tiara, that sit just above your mountain tops. I smell your birthing and watch you race to the sea and create more.

I knew you long ago and I remember you now. I remember your aloha. I remember you are my refuge and my safe harbor to come home to. You have awakened my spirit and you are my love. You are my beautiful island, you are my Hawaii and I am loved and blessed in return.
