Love Stories of Hawaii

Second Chance Love

Second Chances don't happen often.
Dedicated to Sheryl

Submitted by Wally

This story goes out to my beautiful wife Sheryl whose name means "beloved".

She is the rock in our marriage and keeps us together. I know it hasn't always been easy for her being married to a Truck Driver and only saw me on the weekends but, she did what she had to do to keep this marriage alive. I would look forward to when I would come home. She would be there waiting for me as I came through the door with a big smile on her face and the first thing she would say was "I Love You!" She was the only thing that kept me going from day to day, knowing she would be home when I got there.

It's been almost a year since her whole world almost came crashing down. She received that middle in the night phone call saying that I had had a roll-over, but that I was ok, just pretty banged up. I looked forward to getting home that weekend just to show her how much she really meant to me. It made me realize just how much I loved her and that it's not often a person gets a second chance. It made me get a job closer to be home almost every night.

You see her birthday is coming up and I would like to surprise her with a trip to Hawaii to renew our vows as we never did have a honeymoon when we married almost 16 years ago. I had to go back to work 2 days later. I want to make all her dreams and wishes come true.
