Long Distance Love

The Surprise Of A Lifetime
Dedicated to Kristen

Submitted by Glenn

Kristen is my soulmate. Everything a young 23 year old could be.A best friend and the only real girlfriend i've ever known. we've been dating for a year and a half and have never had a fight or a disagreement. We are the inspiration for each others ambition in life.

She landed her dream job as an elementary school teacher in hawaii. Unfortunately she had to move without me because i have yet to find a job there. She left a few days after christmas and we had to spend New Years apart. We are both heart broken and need each others love very deeply.

Last Valentine's day she was at grad school in Boston and i was working that nite at my job in connecticut. I decided to call out sick and surprise my love and first valentine of my life. At the end of her class I walked in with a dozen roses and in front of the whole class I asked "Will you be my valentine?" She said "yes" and we never looked back. I have never been happier and now we are half a world apart waiting for the time when we may reunite.

This Valentine's day I want to surprise her in the exact same way only this time she will be teaching a class rather than sitting in one. I want to propose to her in front of her students and then spend the most romantic nite of our lives in hawaii. It would be the most unforgettable day of our lives and something we can tell our children about one day. Hopefully my dream will come true!
