Second Chance Love

The Man That Makes My World go around!
Dedicated to Eric Schwab

The Man That Makes My World go around!

I can remember the first time I saw him! It feels like only yesterday I was a giggly 17-year-old girl with stars in my eyes. I remember the feeling that I got when our eyes would meet. I never would have thought six years later he would be in my life. We definitely went through some times. He moved away to college during the first three months of our relationship and I stayed at home and went to a junior college. We were extremely miserable being away from each other and it affected our relationship. We broke up time and time again but we always keep each other close by. Neither one of us knew how to let the other go. Once I moved up to college I thought we would be great but boy was I in for a shock! We both had so much growing up to do and we needed to do it alone. I guess in a way we were smarter then most because we were willing to give each other up so we wouldn‚t continue to hurt one another. It was the hardest thing I ever did, walking away from him. No matter how far I went I still held him in my heart and never let him go. He was always going to be my first and true love. He moved on and meet someone and so did I. I always thought of him and wondered if we would ever be "Eric & Julie" again? I convinced myself that our love had ended. I even got engaged to another man. I had always dreamed of a romantic wedding on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Hawaiian Islands. But I never shared that dream with anyone but Eric. I knew that Hawaii was a place that was meant for true loves and unconditional lovers. By the grace of God the wedding was called off and we went our separate ways. That was the best thing that ever happened to me. I thought then I could actually find that man again that loved me unconditionally and really experience true love as an adult. Yes, Eric and I shared true love but we were wild college kids wanting to experience the "true" meaning of college and sow our wild oats. He had just ended a 21/2-year relationship. It was never planned that we would be together again. But we remembered the reasons we loved each other so much and found out new things about each other. We realized that we had something special that most people never find. Now that I have the love of my life back in my life my childhood wedding dream might come true: marry on the beautiful sandy beaches on the Hawaiian Islands with the man that makes my world go around.
