Love Stories of Hawaii

Timeless Love

Our Honeymoon of Long Ago
Dedicated to

Submitted by Alan

I met my future wife on a dare from my mother and a friend. I called and asked her out on a date. Little did I know that we would be going to the exact same place as her parents were planning to go also. It was New Years Eve of 1965. We had a wonderful time that nite, we talked and talked and talked. We danced and then after we left the party we went driving around and then ended up back at her home and sat in the car and talked and talked some more. By the end of our first date we knew a lot about each other and I knew that she was the girl for me. There was a 10 year age difference between, but that didn't matter to her or I. We fell in love and set the wedding date for the following April. We always said that on our 10th wedding anniversary, we would go back to Hawaii and have a second honeymoon. That never happened. We raised three wonderful and very beautiful daughters Then on Thanksgiving Day of 1997, my wife became very ill and died several times on me. If it had not been for our youngest daughter being home for the thanksgiving holiday, my wife would not be alive today. Our daughter helped me talk her into going to the hospital and by some miracle, the ER doctor that was working felt like they should test her for bacterial mennigitis, she did have this along with many other serious illness. We were lucky, with the help of several wonderful doctors and a great hospital, and lots and lots of prayers, my wife is ok and alive today. This would be a very wonderful relaxtion and much needed trip for myself and my wife and a very wonderful and gracious and congradulation trip to have our youngest daughter with us, as she will be graduating from college in May of 2001 and has had a hard time pulling thru college do to a learning disibility she has had all of her life. Thank You
