Second Chance Love

True Love
Dedicated to Tim Martin

Submitted by Mona

August 8th, 1990: Me and my ex-husband's little sister were out at a bar. When this average looking man walks up and asks Sandra to dance. After they were done, he came back to our table and sat down next to me. We talked for the rest of the night. I never really thought of him romantically. I gave him my number, never even thinking that he would actually use it.

|The next night he called and asked if he could come over. When he got there and I opened the door, he had a bottle of wine and a red rose. We talked till about 5:00 in the morning and found out that we had so much in common. A week later, he moved in.

The first 8 months I was so mean to him. He was not at all the kind of guy I was looking for, but there was just something about him. He was in college at the time, and I made it so rough on him. One day we were at the beach. Just looking at him, I realized how lucky I was. After everything I put him through, he's still here!

A month after our one year anniversary, we were married. He got his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, we had twins, one which is disabled, and we now have been married 8 years. Since the birth of our twins 5 years ago, we have no time for each other. Our love is good, but wearing thin due to our busy schedules. Taking my only true love to beautiful Hawaii would be a dream come true.
