Love Stories of Hawaii

Timeless Love

They Said It Wouldn't Last
Dedicated to My Wife

Submitted by Anonymous

Twenty five years ago, Daphne (my wife) and I were planning a July wedding. She had 6 children and I, a recent widower, had a girl age 6 and a son age 2. Our friends said it wouldn't last. Well, we were in love, so we went ahead and did it.

Hawaii was our honeymoon choice, so off we went. Over the next 25 years, we moved 13 times, owned 5 businesses, and, between us, have held 12 jobs outside of the bossiness. To top it off ,1 year and 1/2 after we wed, we had a daughter. We managed to put 6 of them through school beyond high school. We've gone through bankruptcy. Daphne had open heart surgery and I lost my hair. The closest to a separation was when we tried to quit smoking, which we have finally done. For a twenty-fifth anniversary, I would like to take her back to Hawaii
