Love Stories of Hawaii

Long Distance Love

The Royal Crib
Dedicated to My father

Submitted by Mary-Jane

When I was a baby, as the story goes, I had the good fortune of sleeping in a Hawaiian royal crib. My father's boss, Mr. Pitman, gave him the crib when I was born. He was a wealthy, well-traveled man and my father had no reason to doubt its origin.

It was a wonderful feeling as a little girl to be told you slept in a royal crib. All girls wish to be princesses. Could I have been effected by past royal occupants? Was there a longing to visit it's place of origin? Oh, yes indeed!

Twenty-eight years ago, I had the good fortune of honeymooning in Hawaii, and long to visit again. Could it be I hear the voices of my "royal sisters" calling me to return?
